Project Runway Philippines Episode 9
The 9th show is a group challenge sponsored by Cinderella. Each group must create a design that is Ready-To-Wear for Cinderella. The winning group outfit would be displayed in the cinderella display window for one month.
Because Eli won the last challenge, he was given the advantage of choosing his groupmates. He chose Mara and Philip leaving Aries, Veejay and Jaz for the other group. The two team leaders were Eli and Jaz. Veejay and Aries chose Jaz because the two have already experienced on being a leader in Sarah Meier’s episode challenge.
Each group were given 30 minutes to shop for garment with Php 6,000 budget. Eli’s group opt for colors while Jaz’s look for a print. In the end, Eli has teal and orange team while Jaz has black, pink print.
Back in the Sofa, each designer constructs their own outfit. Every team have accused one another of copying designs. Jaz’s team are accused of copying the design of Eli’s team and Eli’s team are accused of copying the garment of Jaz’s team.
Mara, as usual, is having trouble in constructing her outfit that Philip decided to sew all the clothes himself because it is a group task. According to Aries, Philip is doing all the work while the two are just busy chit chatting, relaxing and Eli being Eli.
On Jojit’s mentoring, he said that he couldn’t see a collection on Eli’s team design but they said that it is not yet done. Aries also helped Veejay constructing the pants.
